17th September 2008

Today is the 17th of September 2008. UMNO is still at the helm of power. Abdullah Badawi is still the Prime Minister of Malaysia. BN is still the ruling party governing Malaysia. Anwar Ibrahim's promise is just that, only a promise. Nothing changes. Only change is Abdullah Badawi has become more hostile.

Abdullah Badawi took over the Ministry of Defence from Najib yesterday. He is prepared for the worst. He mentioned in a press conference that he will do everything necessary to protect the interest of the people and national security. What he meant is, if the 24 million non-UMNO population of Malaysia value their lives, keep your mouth shut or a bullet will be in your head. There are more than 24 million bullets in the Malaysian armoury. ISA is only a warning.

The atmosphere is one of fear and chills. A madman at the helm of power and all the firepower at his disposal. A man with no fear of GOD and thinks himself is GOD with the power of life and death over the population. National security means UMNO security. People means family and cronies. The population? What population? They are all merely dispensable slaves to serve the overlords. These ungrateful population deserve no mercy for trying to rebel against their lords and masters. If necessary , get the army to kill a few hundred thousands of these disgusting slaves to make an example of to the rest. After all protecting the "people" and "national security" is the topmost priority now.

Pakatan Rakyat will be outlawed. All its members will be arrested and then met with freak accidents under detention. Who is going to question the authority? Worse come to worst, a Malaysian style "Killing Field" is still an option. After all, the Khymer Rouge leaders were never punished and lived up to ripe old age. Even North Korea, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia dictators are still living in a grand lifestyle.

Malaysians are doomed because today is 17th September 2008 and Abdullah Badawi is still the Prime Minister. My advise to all Malaysians: go back to whatever you do, stay out of politics and you will still be alive. You can still have your cars, beautiful homes and occassional holidays. And when your wife or daughters got raped, properties robbed and friends murdered by the overlords, pretend it didn't happen. Welcome to Malaysia.

UMNO the real National Security Threat - Part 3

Today, the 16th of September 2008, Malaysia celebrates its 45th birthday. It also marks the day UMNO died. Anwar Ibrahim, claimed to have the majority to replace the UMNO lead government. But the question remains whether UMNO is gentleman enough to concede gracefully or will resort to Myanmarese tactics by putting DSAI under house arrest ala Aung San Suu Kyi plight and then declare a state of emergency.

Fortunately, Malaysia current Prime Minister is not Mahathir or Razak. These two megalomaniac who have no scruples least of all gentlemen, will have no second thoughts of eliminating their enemies illegally or immorally. Ethics and honour is just a cover to hide their atrocities and lies to the public.

On the other hand, Abdullah Badawi, despite all his shortcomings and incompetencies, could still be considered humane. His only streak of vice is his lying habit. But being a compulsive liar, and being consistent at it, as Anwar said, we can still understand his messages by taking the opposites of all his words.

Abdullah, has already lost to his fellow UMNO warlords. Even if he hangs on to power, he only has two more years. And there are many impatient warlords who might not even give him another two months. By refusing to concede his power to Anwar in a democratic fashion, he will only be sacrificing his reputation with the label of a power-crazy undemocratic dictator, and goes down in history with people like Hitler, Pol Pot, Marcos, Mugabe and the likes. And his internal enemies in UMNO will benefit by gaining power without the burden of the label.

So, the only logical move by Abdullah is to graciously handover power to Pakatan Rakyat and preserve his last chance for a legacy. At least people will remember him for being democratic and might even be forgiven for all his undoings the last 4 years. Personally, for Abdullah to decide otherwise will be too costly without any additional advantages.

UMNO the real National Security Threat - Part 2

When each and every UMNO members and the police force begin to exercise their illegal power as legislator, executor, jury and judge, the government in this country no longer has the mandate of the people to rule the country. They are now just a bunch of thugs and bandits with no regard for the law.

They could come to your house, rape your wives and daughters, and if you report any of this to the police, you will be arrested under ISA. If they like a piece of land that belongs to you, the take. Your business doing well? It will no longer be yours tomorrow.

Now, when the the people decided enough is enough and try to vote them out in a democratic fashion, as Malaysia claimed to be democracy, ISA is invoked. I wonder how Abdullah and his henchmen can imagine RPK, Theresa Kok and reporter Tan as armed terrorists threatening national security. The real dangers are the ministers who commands the armed agencies with C4s. And I wonder how many more Malaysians are going to be murdered before changes that place.

The PDRM are all gungho when it comes to decent citizens like RPK and Theresa Kok. If real terrorists like the Al-Qaeda really threatens the national security, you can bet your last cent that the police or the UMNO bigwigs will NOT give two hoots about your safety. To them national security is UMNO security, not Malaysians security.

My point is, Malaysia is not going to change peacefully because real power lies in firepower. If people are to have a better life, I guess it time to consider taking up arms and let the PDRM knows what ISA is really for.

UMNO a No. 1 National Security Threat - Part 1

Following the events since the 12 general elections culminating in the the arrest of RPK under ISA, there is no doubt that UMNO is now the most dangerous element in Malaysia. Common citizens who think that they are safe as long as they stay out of politics, think again. During the 1997 Asian crisis, many innocent lives were destroyed in Indonesia, and the victims are all apolitical.

When a corrupt government is under threat, it will cling on to power at all cost. Political foes being persecuted is a certainty. However, what is most frightening is collateral damage. Many innocent lives will be sacrificed to achieve the agenda. UMNO has no qualms in committing masacre as long as it can achieve their objective and facts can be manipulated or black out. May 13 incident and the Memali masacre are just two examples where helpless unarmed citizens are murdered enmass to justify the aims of UMNO hegemony. Any mention of these incidents today will guarantee you a place in the Malaysian "gulag".

The separation of legislative, executive and judiciary branches is non existent and almost a joke in Malaysia. Laws are enacted in parliament only in name. In reality, laws are passed and repealed at the whims and fancies of the warlords in UMNO. Even non existent law could be pulled out of thin air to persecute political foes. The ban on Malaysia Today website is proof that laws passed in the parliament could be bypassed by any government agencies such a the SKMM who undertook the role of a legislator ( making a law to allow censorship of the internet). judiciary (passing judgement that Malaysia Today broke the law without due process) and executive (enforcing the law by sending directives to all ISP in Malaysia to ban the site).

SKMM is only a mild incident and hardly threaten the lives of ordinary citizens of Malaysia albeit it did receive wide publicity because of the popularity of its blogger, the great Malaysia hero, Raja Petra Kamarudin. Of more grave concern is the police force opering under the guise of Polis Diraja Malaysia. The atrocities committed by this agency, if ever exposed fully, will send spine chilling all over the world. Malaysia have no serious triad, mafia nor yakuza problems. It has the PDRM. Its activities includes drug trafficking, arm dealing, rapes, prostitution, money-lending, robbery, burglary, extortion, contract assasins and the list continues. And because UMNO is equally corrupt, it create a perfect symbiosis between the PDRM and UMNO. Its a matter of you scratch my back, I scratch your back type of thing. Therefore, UMNO must not fall at all cost, even if the PDRM have to kill half the population of Malaysia. After all, it is only collateral damage.

Is the use of ISA and Sedition Act Legitimate?

" The legitimacy of law lies not in its contents but in its application. If a law is applicable to one person but not the other, then its legitimacy becomes questionable."

The recent arrest of Raja Petra under the sedition act had evoked mass disaffection among the public and raised questions on its legitimacy. I have no issue with the law as it was passed by the parliament which consists of representatives elected by the majority of the people. Therefore, it is assumed that the majority of the people wanted to have this law. And since it is a law by the will of the people, it have to be obeyed.

However, when members of the ruling party acted seditiously, the law was never applied on them. It raised the question of why are there those who are above the law. In the eye of the law, everyone should be equal. Without this principle of equality, the law lost its legitimacy and the public gain the right to disobey this law. The government no longer has the moral rights to enforce this law and any attempt to enforce it will be deemed hypocritical and shameful.

Malaysia Hero Raja Petra tried in Kangaroo Court

Malaysian freedom fighter, Raja Petra Kamaruddin was charged in the PJ session court on the 6 May 2008 under the Seditions Act for his article calling for murderers to be sent to hell. Apparently, murderers and criminals are protected animals under the BN government and any expressions, whether written or spoken, against these breeds of so-called humans are labelled as seditions. Malaysia is a country where the government are run by big-foots and monkeys, judges are kangaroos and police are dogs.

FITNA - ignorance or malice?

Yes, the footages show in the above video are facts. The phrases from the Al-Koran are true. But the composition and storyline insinuations are disgustingly distasteful and misleading. Is the creator of this movie ignorant of the effects this movie will have in shaping the perception of its audience?

Or is it his intention to be malicious, by cleverly editing the footages such that he cannot be sued for fabrications, but at the same time aims to create a false perception of Islamic violence?

His tactic reminds me of how the Japanese media created a perception of all foreigners are criminals. Whenever a crime was commited by a foreigner in Japan, it will get detailed coverage in the frontpage with the name, nationality and photographs of the alleged culprit. However, crime committed by locals are either not reported or name withheld. Over time, the public will subconsciously associates foreigners with crimes and crimes with foreigners. The government then took advantage of the public sentiments to implement new laws to curb foreigners' rights in Japan.

Terrorist are just using and abusing religions to mobilise support and create a perception among the public that their cause is on moral high-ground. But in reality, the leaders are deviants who swayed the less educated ones into becoming their blind followers. And the false teachings starts from very young age.

During my schooldays, I attended "ugama" classes, even though I am a non-Muslim, and the uztaz was very supportive of my endevour to understand Islam better. I lived among the Muslims for seven years in a residential school. So, I could say that I had a good fundamental understanding of Islamic principles even though I may be no expert. My impression of the religion was it is so beautiful if not perfect, and if all Muslims were to adhere to all the principles stated in the Al-Koran, a Muslim state would be heaven on earth. But alas, human's will and flesh are weak, and to be a true Muslim is a very demanding task indeed.

Islam, like most other major religions, is often misunderstood. Misunderstanding stems from ignorance. Ignorance give rise to fear which breeds violence. Thus, to curb violence, fear have to be controlled. For fear to disappear, ignorance has to give way to knowledge. With knowledge, misunderstanding will naturally cease to exist. Therefore, religious knowledge should be made publicly available and open discussions encouraged. Then maybe, we could have heaven on earth and terrorists will no longer be able to commit atrocities in the name GOD.
